Supporting the Community We Call Home: Kaiser Vacation Rentals Gives Back

A great destination is built by the people who care for it, and Kaiser Vacation Rentals is proud to be part of that effort, supporting the Alabama Gulf Coast through volunteer work, local involvement, and meaningful partnerships. It’s one of the ways we live our values and help preserve the welcoming coastal communities locals cherish, and visitors return to year after year.

For our team, giving back is more than a company initiative; it’s a chance to connect with others in a meaningful way. As Gayle Staimpel, Director of Accounting, puts it:

“What I enjoy most is the opportunity to step away from my daily responsibilities and work side-by-side with my coworkers. It's rewarding to see the immediate results of our efforts and know that even a few hours of our time can make a meaningful difference for organizations that serve so many people.”

Building Stronger Communities Through Local Partnerships

Strong communities are built through collaboration, and local businesses play an important role in creating a place where residents, businesses, and visitors can thrive. At Kaiser Vacation Rentals, we’re honored to partner with those that share our commitment to strengthening the communities we call home, including:

Many of these organizations are meeting needs that might otherwise go unmet, whether through education, food assistance, housing support, or other critical services. It's important that we support them so they can continue making a positive difference in the lives of others,” says Staimpel.

While we proudly support many incredible non-profit partners throughout the year, our recent participation in United Way’s Day of Caring gave our team a special opportunity to come together and make a direct impact. Tabitha Williams, Managing Director, shared:

“As property managers, we're no strangers to deep cleaning rental properties or overseeing painting projects, but we've never done it at a school! This year, we painted and deep-cleaned the cafeteria at Elberta Elementary. We had the opportunity to see summer school students, custodians, and administrators in action, and it was enlightening to see how much work goes into supporting students and maintaining the school during the summer months.”

United Way Day of Caring

Across the country, United Way works with local businesses to identify challenges, provide solutions, and improve lives in the community. Rather than simply offering short-term assistance, United Way focuses on addressing the underlying needs that strengthen communities through health, education, and financial stability. One of the ways United Way brings this vision to life is through its Day of Caring, an annual volunteer event connecting community members with nonprofit organizations for hands-on service projects.

“We know our local United Way Director and have seen firsthand the positive impact United Way has on our community and the local nonprofits it supports,” adds Williams.

A History of Giving Back

In the past, the Kaiser Vacation Rentals team has assisted with numerous community projects, including the dune restoration project at Gulf Park Park, planting a garden at Foley Elementary, and stuffing tote bags for the HIPPY Program (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters). We also raised $1,415 at the 2024 American Heart Association Heart Walk, helping the local community reach its overall goal. For Kassie Ross, Senior Property Manager, these annual opportunities to serve are among the most rewarding parts of being involved in the community:

“It's rewarding to help others, build stronger community connections, and be part of something that has a meaningful impact. I enjoy knowing that my time and effort can make someone's day a little better. Participating in these events is a chance to connect with others, support local organizations, and contribute to a stronger, more caring community.”

Every Act of Service Makes A Difference

We hope our commitment inspires others to get involved, whether that be here along Alabama’s Gulf Coast or in your own hometown. Strong communities are built one act of service at a time, and even a few hours can have a lasting impact. If you’re looking for ways to give back, consider reaching out to the United Way or other community organizations in your area and finding a cause that’s meaningful to you. Together, we can help build stronger communities for generations to come.
